Hills Hub

One building, four systems, one contractor.

Community buildings run on more than power. The hall needed sound and hearing assistance, the meeting rooms needed screens and simple controls, the foyer needed access control after hours, and every space needed data back to one comms room.

Cardinia Shire Council took all four disciplines from one team, so there was one set of drawings, one program and one person to call.

Planned in the wall before the wall went up.

AV plates, screen brackets and cable risers were set out with the architect before linings closed, so every screen sits where the furniture plan says it should. The fibre backbone was spliced on site and tested before the comms rack was dressed.

A hall anyone can use, and hear.

Linear lighting over a sprung timber floor, screens on every wall, an assistive listening system for hearing-aid users, and wall-mounted touch panels so a volunteer can run an event without a technician.
